Terms of Service
By using SRKR QR Scanner, you agree to these terms for the authorized use of QR/barcode scanning services at SRKR Engineering College.
Eligibility and Access
- Access is restricted to authorized campus staff, volunteers, and administrators.
- You must maintain the confidentiality of your credentials and restrict app usage to official duties.
Acceptable Use
- Use the application solely for authorized campus attendance, event entry, outing validation, and crowd management tasks.
- Do not scan barcodes or QR codes for unauthorized tracking, personal use, or data collection.
- Do not modify, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to the backend scanning API endpoints.
Service Availability & Updates
We reserve the right to deploy updates, suspend scanner features temporarily for maintenance, or restrict permissions based on role definitions or institutional policy updates.
Responsibility for Equipment & Connectivity
Users are responsible for ensuring their mobile device and connection meet the security and performance requirements necessary to run the scanner application.
Limitation of Liability
The app is provided "as is". We are not liable for operational delays, network offline events, or incorrect scans resulting from damaged student barcodes, low light, or user error.
Foreground Service Permissions (Media Playback)
For Google Play Store Policy compliance, the following video demonstrates how the application utilizes the FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK permission for managing media/audio feedback during QR/barcode scanning operations:
